    Hello Indira,
We met by chance while we were both walking at the Fort Hill Area last month, after which I looked for your books at the Provincetown Bookstore ant took home a copy of As Sweet as Honey which I just finished.
I was just on a hike in Boulder this afternoon, a place you recommended I get to while visiting my son who lives in Denver. A four-foot bull snake wove across the path. It is a splendid place, but so different from the intimate comfort of the beaches and fields of the Cape.

I loved the book. It grew on me as I got to know the characters. I loved the details of South Asian culture and American and British culture that you chose. You captured those elements that express nostalgia and loss without beating the reader.

I’m recommending the book to my bookclub and will read your others.

Kudos. I hope we meet again.

      Dear Nina,

The walking stick is in the garden, propping up a rose! Thank you for looking out for and reading As Sweet as Honey. You know, I have never seen a snake in Boulder, but have here in the garden ( smallish ones). If you are still in Boulder, a great nice restaurant is The Kitchen on Pearl Street, on the west end, and on the east end, a my favorite coffee shop, The Laughing Goat. Tell them I sent you! But there are so many great places to eat–and you must visit the Dushambe Tea House, imported from Tajikistan–Saturdays, the fabulous Boulder farmer’s Market runs right in front of it.
      Enjoy!

Hi indira, i stumbled across your pics of Rosie when i was looking up your new books just now. What wonderful pics — her vibrancy and energy and enthusiasm for life are so evident, I don’t think she ever said or did a dull thing in her life. Congrats on the new books and it was such a nice surprise to bump into you on Boston common.
